Born in Ottawa, Louis-Philippe spent his entire childhood and teenage years in Chelsea, Quebec and in the Côte d’Azur neighborhood in Gatineau. At the age of 17, he then decided to join the Canadian Forces and finish with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada. Following graduation, he ended up spending the following nine years in various postings across Canada with a deployment to Italy, serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Aerospace Engineer.
It was a pretty exciting first career, but in 2015, he decided to pursue a career that would more fully complement his initial aspirations in visual arts, architecture and interior design by completing the Real Estate Salesperson education program in Ontario. He immediately became a part of the National Military Relocation Network; an organization dedicated to helping military members, RCMP, Foreign Affairs officials and other public servants relocate in or out of the National Capital Region. As a native of this particular area, he was a natural fit for that job which became his primary niche market since then.
In late 2016, he discovered by pure coincidence Engel & Völkers online. He immediately fell in love with the brand which was well designed, esthetically pleasing, exclusive, well-made, high-end & the fruit of passion. A few months later, Louis-Philippe joined esteemed real estate brokerage Engel & Völkers Ottawa Central in 2017 and never looked back.
Finally, after more than a year of planning, he opened with his business partner and best friend Jeremy Spilkin the Engel & Völkers Outaouais franchise in Chelsea and got his real estate license in Quebec at the same time more or less in December 2020. Over the next few years, he established himself as a top-tier real estate agent specializing in higher-end properties all over Outaouais but especially in Chelsea and along the Gatineau River.
