When he has the chance, Louis-Philippe enjoys motor racing, a hobby that combines his passion for mechanics with his desire for surpassing oneself.

A FIRST CAREER IN THE AIR FORCE

Born in Ottawa, Louis-Philippe spent his entire childhood and teenage years in Chelsea, Quebec and in the Côte d’Azur neighborhood in Gatineau.  At the age of 17, he then decided to join the Canadian Forces and finish with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada. Following graduation, he ended up spending the following nine years in various postings across Canada with a deployment to Italy, serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an Aerospace Engineer.

It was a pretty exciting first career, but in 2015, he decided to pursue a career that would more fully complement his initial aspirations in visual arts, architecture and interior design by completing the Real Estate Salesperson education program in Ontario. He immediately became a part of the National Military Relocation Network; an organization dedicated to helping military members, RCMP, Foreign Affairs officials and other public servants relocate in or out of the National Capital Region. As a native of this particular area, he was a natural fit for that job which became his primary niche market since then.

A SECOND CAREER IN REAL ESTATE

In late 2016, he discovered by pure coincidence Engel & Völkers online. He immediately fell in love with the brand which was well designed, esthetically pleasing, exclusive, well-made, high-end & the fruit of passion. A few months later, Louis-Philippe joined esteemed real estate brokerage Engel & Völkers Ottawa Central in 2017 and never looked back.

Finally, after more than a year of planning, he opened with his business partner and best friend Jeremy Spilkin the Engel & Völkers Outaouais franchise in Chelsea and got his real estate license in Quebec at the same time more or less in December 2020. Over the next few years, he established himself as a top-tier real estate agent specializing in higher-end properties all over Outaouais but especially in Chelsea and along the Gatineau River.

A VISUAL ARTS ENTHUSIAST

In each of his travels, Louis-Philippe makes a mandatory stop by an art gallery to discover local art and gain new perspective on life. With his wife, he recently had the chance to meet Kal Gajoum, a talented painter which he rapidly grew fond of. For Louis-Philippe, visual arts and architecture share similar codes of beauty. When form, function and emotion meet in a harmonous way, beauty unites people beyond words.

A PROUD FAMILY MAN

Becoming a father has been humbling and transformative for Louis-Philippe. With this new role came a deeper sense of empathy that he was able to transfer into his work. When a client comes to him with questions about buying or selling a house, it's deeper than a financial transaction. Choosing the perfect place to raise a family, or accepting to move on when kids have grown up, are huge decisions that must lead to a positive change. As as real estate professional, Louis-Philippe is proud to support his clients into taking the right direction. A house is more than an investment, it's a place to create memories with those we love.

SATISFIED CLIENTS

We recently acquired a property thanks to the exceptional services of Louis-Philippe. All stages of the purchase process (e.g. visit, communication with the client, advice, inspection, negotiation, preparation of documents, follow-ups) went smoothly. We should even admit that the adventure was pleasant and serene. As we are experienced buyers, we can confidently say that Louis-Philippe is an extraordinary real estate agent and that we will highly recommend him to our family & friends.
